Potomac Celtic Festival Dog Policy

Service animals and Service animals in training are always welcome at our festival.
We comply with all State and Loudoun County Animal Care and Control ordinances.

Dogs will be allowed into the Festival subject to the following: All dogs will be current on their rabies vaccination (per Virginia or state of origin law) and have documentation of same (valid rabies certificate or tag). All dogs will be kept on a six foot or shorter leash during the Festival. No retractable leashes will be permitted. Loose dogs will be in violation of county ordinance. All handlers WILL pick up after their dogs. PCF, as represented by a Board Member or Site/Operations Manager reserves the right to evict, or have evicted any dog that management deems to be dangerous or annoying to patrons, or other participants.

 

Potomac Celtic Festival Weapons Policy

No swords or weapons used for warfare larger than six inches may be sold in the craft market, or vendor area.

There are restrictions on wearing and carrying of any weapon at the Potomac Celtic Festival. Weapons intrinsic to a national costume relative to Celtic culture (e.g. a Scottish sgian dubh) may be worn as part of the costume, but not drawn or flourished. Any other weapons worn by patrons in garb or costume will be peace-tied at the front gate. Weapon demonstrations, manuevers, and simulated combat may only be made in the historical re-enactment areas (Living History) or other designated area, but no actual fighting can take place.
